West Berkshire Shield Indoor Bowls
During the winter months, Shrivenham Bowling Club entered the West Berkshire Shield indoor bowls competition for the first time this year. A competition held at West Berk's indoor bowls stadium at Newbury, focused on clubs who primarily play outdoor bowls.
Shrivenham performed admirably in the first round against Wantage, winning 36-19. The semi-final against Reading was a tighter affair but still resulted in a Shrivenham win 37-22. The Final against Suttons who fielded a more experienced indoor team was a nail biter. Shrivenham held the lead for the majority of the time, but with their shot difference declining steadily. Shrivenham maintained their composure against the strong opposition with the game sealed on the final end 40-38.

Opening Drive
The Club opened for the outdoor bowls season on Sunday 13th April. Sixty-five members enjoyed a round robin competition. The green played well, the sun was shining (mostly) and the ambience was vibrant. The signs are all very positive for a busy and successful season.
Bowlswear Direct
Will be visiting on Thursday 1st May 4-6pm.
They will be selling Ladies and Men's bowls wear, equipment and accessories.
So come along and get everything you need for the season.
