Open Floodlight Gala
Shrivenham's 21st Open Floodlight gala, sponsored by Pearce Funeral Services, took place last week. Teams were made up of up to 6 players playing rinks each night. Fourteen teams in two divisions played each other over four nights. The competition saw some excellent bowls played in great spirit. Afterwards players relaxed and enjoyed a hot meal each evening. The week ran very smoothly thanks to Roy and Jack. The weather was mostly kind to the players and overall, the week was considered a great success.
The four top teams competed in a round-robin on the Friday for the prize money.
The Trophy and prizes were presented by Club Captain, Keith Carter.
The 2025 Winners were Supermarine - Dave Murray, Robbie Ferguson, Nicky & Jerry Kemble-Young, Stuart Murray & Val Carter
Runners up: Lambourne - Gareth Courtney, Kirsty Courtney, Paul O'Neil and Derek Hillier
Third: Shrivenham - Dave Winskill, Adam Ridley, Ann Winskill, Chris Hockley and Roland Attridge
Fourth: Highworth - Tom Pittuck, Barry Pittuck, Jo Hicks and Sean Hicks
