Shrivenham Bowls Club - Polite Notice

In a home match, come early enough to offer the Captain any help.
Be silent when your opponent is on the mat.
Rink possession changes to the opposite side when the current bowl stops.  Resist communications with your team members until the possession returns to you.
Try to keep your shadow off the jack and that of the next door rink.
Do not stand directly behind the jack, particularly when wearing whites, as seeing and estimating the position of the jack becomes more difficult.  And keep STILL.
Position your Skip’s bowl on the mat when changing ends, if your Skip is first to bowl.
Number 2s should help with kicking back the bowls before writing down the score.
Set a good example for those new to bowling.
Please don’t stand on the very edge of the green as this can cause the edges to fall into the ditch.
